We are seeking a highly motivated and experienced Safety, Health, and Environmental (SHE) Manager to join our team at BENTELER. The SHE Manager will be responsible for ensuring compliance with all safety, health, and environmental (SHE) policies and procedures while driving continuous improvement in SHE programs. This role is critical to maintaining a safe and healthy work environment for all employees, promoting sustainability, and ensuring regulatory compliance at the plant level.
Key Responsibilities:
SHE Compliance: Ensure compliance with organizational policies, procedures, and legal requirements for safety, health, and environment. Adapt to any regulatory changes affecting plant operations.
SHE Strategy Implementation: Coordinate the roll-out of SHE strategies at the plant level, in alignment with global and regional requirements. Implement the SHE management system, qualification programs, concepts, and standards.
Process Optimization: Continuously improve SHE processes within the plant to enhance safety, health, and environmental performance, driving best practices and optimization efforts.
Legal Compliance: Stay up-to-date on relevant legal changes, reviewing their impact on plant operations and implementing necessary adaptations to ensure full compliance.
Resource Efficiency: Ensure the effective and efficient use of resources (excluding energy) while maintaining a focus on creating safe and healthy working conditions for all employees.
Safety Culture: Foster a strong safety culture within the plant by educating employees on SHE topics and promoting proactive safety measures to prevent incidents.
Performance Monitoring and Reporting: Oversee SHE Key Performance Indicator (KPI) reporting at the plant level. Initiate corrective actions in response to performance deviations and monitor their implementation and effectiveness.
Leadership and Team Development: Promote a respectful work environment by recruiting, developing, and retaining a qualified, motivated, and productive workforce. Lead by example, upholding the organization's mission, values, and global leadership principles.
Qualifications:
Bachelor's degree in Occupational Safety, Environmental Science, Engineering, or related field.
Minimum 4 years of experience in safety, health, and environmental management, preferably in the automotive or manufacturing sector.
In-depth knowledge of SHE regulations and standards.
Proven track record in implementing and managing SHE systems and driving continuous improvement.
Strong leadership and team development skills.
Excellent communication, problem-solving, and organizational skills.
SHE certifications (e.g., NEBOSH, CSP, etc.) are highly desirable.
