The Senior Cloud Backup Engineer/Architect we are seeking has 10+ years of experience in backup and recovery solutions, with a focus on cloud-based technologies.
You should be an expert in Commvault, Rubrik, avamar, data domain and native azure backup capabilities, and be able to design, implement, and optimize backup and recovery strategies for various workloads and environments.
You should be familiar with disaster recovery concepts within Azure, such as Azure Site Recovery, Azure Backup, and Azure Migrate, and be able to leverage them to ensure business continuity and resilience.
You should be able to troubleshoot and resolve backup and recovery issues, and provide root cause analysis and recommendations for improvement.
You should be able to collaborate with other teams and stakeholders, such as infrastructure, security, application, and business teams, to ensure backup and recovery requirements are met and aligned with best practices and standards.
You should be able to document and maintain backup and recovery policies, procedures, and configurations, and provide training and guidance to other engineers and support staff.
You should be able to evaluate and recommend new backup and recovery technologies and solutions, and participate in proof of concepts and pilots.
You should be able to monitor and report on backup and recovery performance, capacity, and SLAs, and provide proactive and preventive maintenance.

10 years IT work experience
6-7 years backup and recovery engineer/architect responsible for the following:
Commvault, Rubrik, Avamar, Data domain and native aAzure backup capabilities
Backup and recovery design, implementation, and optimization for various workloads and environments, such as Windows, Linux, VMware, Hyper-V, SQL, Oracle, Exchange, SharePoint, etc.
Backup and recovery security and hardening, such as encryption, authentication, authorization, auditing, etc.
Backup and recovery configuration management and drift prevention, such as automation, scripting, policies, schedules, retention, etc.
Backup and recovery troubleshooting and root cause analysis, such as logs, alerts, events, diagnostics, etc.
Disaster recovery concepts within Azure, such as Azure Site Recovery, Azure Backup, and Azure Migrate
Backup and recovery roadmap and planning, such as capacity, performance, scalability, availability, etc.
