Job Description:

Functioning as a member of the Giving and Growth team, the Manager, Professional Sports Partnerships ,Community Relations and Diversity Initiatives is responsible for supporting multi-faceted partnerships with over 30 sports related community engagement partners all over the country. The manager will play an essential role in the organization's efforts to deepen measurable community engagement, expand programming, increase visibility, and build financial and in-kind support for the organization's mission. This is a full-time role working on site in office in Fort Lee, NJ. This is not a hybrid nor remote opportunity. This is an exciting opportunity for high energy, highly organized, excited to travel 1-2 times per month to professional sports team/partners sites. Organization covers all travel expenses for employees.

The Manager, Professional Sports Partnerships, Community Relations and Diversity Initiatives will maintain relationships with staff, support communications of the organization's programming launches, and grantmaking, and provide operational oversight of joint events and programs. They help to deepen engagement with staff, rapport via responsiveness to inquiries, and a collegial stance in all matters, collecting and analyzing information to ensure that any trends or concerns can quickly be addressed by the organization's leadership. The Manager will actively search for opportunities for collaborative work with staff and local partners. The best applicants will have extensive experience in donor/customer relations, sales or other customer-facing roles.

Duties and Responsibilities
  • Scheduling and executing regular gatherings and engagement opportunities for staff and stakeholders
  • Meeting regularly with staff to discuss and execute new and ongoing programs that engage stakeholders, local community organizations, and the organization's grantees
  • Resolving any operational issues with payroll-based fundraising.
  • Developing and overseeing the organization's data.
  • Developing a thorough understanding of the organization's programs, needs, and grantmaking portfolio to create communications materials that educate and inform community partners about the organization's work, impact, and priorities
  • Identifying potential fundraising, marketing, and programming opportunities for the organization's Giving & Growth team and their leadership to explore.
  • Developing and conducting satisfaction surveys and recommending/implementing solutions to improve satisfaction.

Qualifications:
  • B/A or B/S preferred
  • Stellar performer holding a track record and clear exhibition of professional maturity and brand based friend raising
  • Previous experience in relationship and partnership management, with demonstrable and quantifiable evidence of success
  • Previous success and experience working in organizations and roles held in the public's trust
  • Familiarity, comfort and commitment to excellence in both the principles and practices of diversity, equity and inclusion.
  • Strong, honest, ethical work demeanor and style
  • Demonstrated ability to provide attention to detail and concern for accuracy and consistency in results
  • Proficient in developing, maintaining and utilizing CRM tools
  • Salesforce experience is a plus, but not required
  • Must possess strong presentation skills and proficiency in computer application programs
  • Friendly, outgoing personality, with an ability to connect via phone/zoom and in person
  • Able to effectively communicate with peers, superiors, and club staff via excellent listening and communication (both written and verbal)
  • Ability to energize others around a mission, and work through moments of shared and opposing goals
  • Ability to work independently and in a team environment
  • Organized and self-motivated with ability to meet strict deadlines
  • Must be available to work a flexible schedule and/or travel to attend fundraising events and programming as needed
  • People management experience is a plus
  • Experience working at a startup is a plus
  • Experience: Minimum 3 to 5 years in donor/customer relations management
