Responsible for assisting with the implementation of evidence-based teen health curricula including the Teen Outreach Program (TOP), Teen Speak NJ, and Personal Responsibility Education Program (PREP). This primarily consists of the facilitation of educational presentations to middle schoolers, high schoolers, and parents of teens throughout northern NJ, both in-person and via virtual platforms.
ESSENTIAL DUTIES:
Facilitate educational presentations utilizing the evidence-based curricula: TOP (in middle schools), PREP (in high schools), and Teen Speak (in CBOs or virtual platforms) throughout northern NJ;
Coordinate and offer Community Service Learning (CSL) opportunities to cohorts that required it (TOP and PREP);
Maintain professional relationships with partner schools and organizations within the target area;
Administer, gather, and track data necessary for the project implementation and evaluation such as information collected through the following forms: Parent Consent Forms and pre and post survey tools, TOP Club attendance tracking tools in the web-based Wyman Connect system, etc;
Conduct necessary marketing and outreach for cohort recruitment;
Promote the teen health programs at health fairs, meetings and events throughout the year;
Attend all required trainings, meetings, conference calls, webinars and activities;
Handle other assignments as requested.
JOB REQUIREMENTS:
Bachelor's degree with a concentration in public health, health sciences, or related fields is required. CHES a plus.
Bilingual English/Spanish required
Experience working with teen populations
Facilite group presentations and workshops
Demonstrated understanding of public health issues, protective factors, trauma-informed care, positive youth development.
Computer literacy
Good verbal and written communication skills
