Day to Day:
As a Business System Analyst at RBC, you will analyze stakeholder requirements, develop plans, manage risks, and communicate with relevant parties. You will create IT documents, system specifications, and test plans. Your role involves eliciting requirements through interviews and surveys, translating business needs into workable systems, and communicating these with technology experts and stakeholders. You will collaborate with business architects and technology staff to deliver projects, implement risk analysis, and meet deliverables. Additionally, you will use statistical tools to analyze data, identify trends, and support diagnostic and predictive analytics. You will also manage relationships with external suppliers and service providers to ensure requirements are met.
Responsibilities:
Perform requirements stakeholder analysis to identify impacted or influencing groups and stakeholder requirements, develop plans and accurate estimates for completion of requirements, manage risks, and communicate to appropriate parties.
Develop documents for IT applications, system specifications and test plans, according to existing standards and methodologies.
Elicit the requirements needed to carry out business processes including interviews, intelligence analysis and survey assessments.
Translate business needs, processes, and procedures into a workable system, and articulating on specific software requirements by communicating these requirements with technology experts and business stakeholder.
Must Haves:
5+ years working as a Business Systems Analyst within a financial institution
Proficient in creating and maintaining business analysis artifacts - Workflows, Data flow diagrams, Data Mapping documents, User Journeys, etc.
Experience writing and running SQL queries to extract and analyze data large data sets as well as the ability to visualize data, etc.
Competent in managing JIRA and SharePoint projects, boards, and workflows.
