Responsibilities:
Data Acquisition and Analysis:
Gather, clean, and prepare large datasets from various sources within the LTL network.
Conduct exploratory data analysis to identify patterns, trends, and anomalies.
Develop and implement data pipelines for efficient data processing and analysis.
Machine Learning and Predictive Modeling:
Develop and deploy predictive models to forecast demand, optimize routes, and improve operational efficiency.
Utilize machine learning techniques (e.g., regression, classification, clustering) to solve complex business problems.
Evaluate model performance and iterate on improvements.
Data-Driven Insights:
Translate complex data insights into actionable recommendations for business stakeholders.
Collaborate with cross-functional teams to implement data-driven solutions.
Communicate findings effectively through clear and concise visualizations and presentations.
Network Optimization:
Analyze network performance metrics to identify areas for improvement.

Qualifications:
Education:
Master's degree or equivalent in computer science, statistics, operations research, industrial engineering, applied mathematics, or a related field.
Experience:
Minimum of 2 years of experience in applying data science techniques to solve real-world business problems, preferably within the transportation industry.
Technical Skills:
Strong proficiency in programming languages like Python or R.
Expertise in data science libraries and tools (e.g., pandas, NumPy, Scikit-learn, TensorFlow).
Familiarity with cloud platforms (e.g., AWS, GCP, Azure) and big data technologies.
