Position Overview
The Product Owner will play a key role in defining and prioritizing product features to ensure the development team delivers high-quality solutions aligned with business and customer needs. This role will lead various agile ceremonies, foster collaboration across departments with diverse priorities, and ensure adherence to agile practices. Additionally, the Product Owner will manage IT-driven projects and enhance team visibility among users. This is a contract-to-hire position, offering the potential for long-term growth within the company.
Responsibilities
Collaborate with stakeholders to define the product vision and strategy, aligning with company goals.
Develop, prioritize, and manage the product backlog, ensuring clarity and organization.
Act as Project Manager for internally managed IT projects.
Ensure requirements are delivered as specified, including providing end-user documentation when needed.
Balance prioritization between customer experience, business impact, and technical performance.
Create clear user stories and acceptance criteria for the development team.
Serve as the primary liaison between the business, design, and development teams.
Partner with the development team to deliver high-quality product features.
Collect and analyze user feedback to drive product improvements.
Support the agile team in identifying and implementing process improvements.
Collaborate with other departments to refine workflows and improve efficiency.
Investigate business issues and recommend solutions.
Stay up-to-date with industry trends and best practices to drive continuous improvement.
Qualifications
BS or MS in Software Engineering, Computer Science, or a related field.
5+ years of experience as a Product Owner or in Product Management.
Proven experience managing a product through its full lifecycle.
Experience in the healthcare industry is strongly preferred.
Strong understanding of Agile principles and practices, with hands-on experience in Scrum and Kanban.
Excellent verbal and written communication skills to convey complex ideas to both technical and non-technical stakeholders.
Strong analytical and problem-solving skills.
Ability to thrive in a collaborative environment, fostering trust and continuous improvement.
Previous development experience is preferred, but not required.
