This company, a growing global leader in power electronics technologies, is looking for a Product Manager to be the key team member for working between the customer and internal sales/engineering teams to develop next generation power solutions for high-power inversion, conversion, charging, and storage products. Position Description
In this position, you'll be responsible for the entire product lifecycle, starting with working directly with the sales team on new product concepts, presentations, and pricing. In addition, you'll own and update the Product Roadmap. From there, you'll develop requirements and work with domestic and overseas (Asia) development teams to make sure the product meets needs, plus support issue resolution after launch. You'll be a key team member to evolve their solutions for clients deploying Utility and C&I scale renewable energy.
Other responsibilities include:
Define and communicate the Solutions vision and strategy, aligning with business objectives for growth in the Utility and C&I renewable energy segments.
Develop and maintain the Solutions roadmap, staying ahead of industry trends and technology advancements.
Actively engage customers in the renewable energy and EV charging sectors to define new solutions and quantify opportunity sizes.
Oversee the Solutions development lifecycle from concept to launch, collaborating with system engineers and international development teams to deliver innovative solutions.
Form external partnerships as necessary for comprehensive solutions.
Develop go-to-market strategies and launch plans, creating world class documentation and collaborating with Marketing and Sales to promote Solutions.
Manage Solutions from launch to end of life, supporting Sales with training, solution selection, presentations and pricing.
Qualifications
Bachelors degree in an engineering discipline (MS a plus). MBA or some business/sales education preferred.
10+ years of experience in product development, including direct work with both engineering and sales/business development teams.
Background in high-level (KW to MW level) power systems for applications such as fast charging, wind, solar, energy storage, and DC-AC conversion.
Experience working with overseas and domestic development teams, with an ability to handle language/cultural differences (Mandarin knowledge a plus).
Ability to travel overseas when required (not heavy, 20% max).
Ability to handle infrequent evening meetings (only when needed/not a large part of the job).
Compensation:
$140-160K base salary, with a 15- 20% bonus target (potentially more for very experienced candidates)
