FULL DESCRIPTION: The Director of Contracts and Compliance conducts proposal and estimate preparation, contract negotiation, contract administration, and customer contract activities to provide for proper contract fulfillment in accordance with company policies, legal requirements and customer expectations.
The selected candidate will be responsible for:
Develops, administers, and manages domestic and international contracts and purchase orders ensuring compliance with legal requirements and company policies
Drafts and reviews all contracts. Ensures all contracts adhere to industry regulations, laws and organizational standards, mitigates risks and protects the company's interests
Provides strategic guidance on domestic and international trade compliance, identifies and resolves all legal and regulatory issues related to domestic and international contracts and transactions
Manages approval process, provides guidance on complex legal and compliance matters
Interacts with customers, agents, forwarders, and other departments and personnel to identify and resolve any problem(s) which could delay or prevent contract and/or purchase order completion
Joins forces with the Sales Support Group and Foreign Military Sales to monitor and enforce compliance with contractual obligations and regulatory requirements across all departments
Collaborates with legal, procurement, engineering, and technical teams to mitigate risk in domestic and international agreements and ensure proper documentation and compliance with export control regulations.
Develops and manages Technical Assistance Agreements (TAAs) ensuring alignment with export control laws, such as ITAR and EAR, along with other relevant regulations
Conducts Commodity Jurisdiction (CJ) Analysis to determine the proper export classification of goods, technologies, and services, ensuring adherence to U.S. and international export controls
Ensures continuous monitoring and adherence to changes in global trade laws, export controls, pricing, and compliance standards, updating company policies, practices, ISO, FCPA as necessary
The selected candidate will also possess:
Minimum 5 years of applied work experience in domestic and international contract administration
Minimum 5 years of applied work experience of order processing
Applied knowledge of Letters of Credit, ISO, FCPA required
Effective communication skills, interpersonal, written, and verbal
Must be detail oriented and have proven organizational skills
Must be able to manage a variety of tasks simultaneously
Salary Range: $130k-$140k/yr
