Position Overview The Vice President of Acquisitions & Development is responsible for leading the strategic planning and execution of acquisition and development projects. This role requires a deep understanding of the real estate market and the ability to identify, evaluate, and secure profitable opportunities that align with the company's growth objectives.
Key Responsibilities
Lead the acquisition and development strategy for residential properties.
Identify and evaluate potential land acquisition opportunities.
Negotiate and finalize deals for land development and real estate acquisitions.
Collaborate with internal teams to oversee project entitling processes.
Develop and maintain relationships with key stakeholders, including landowners, government agencies, and industry partners.
Conduct market research and feasibility studies to support acquisition decisions.
Prepare and present acquisition proposals to the executive team.
Manage the acquisition process from initial sourcing to closing.
Ensure compliance with all regulatory requirements and best practices in land development.
Qualifications
Bachelor's degree in Real Estate, Business, Finance, or a related field; MBA preferred.
Minimum of 10 years of experience in real estate acquisitions and development, with at least 5 years in a leadership role.
Proven track record in successfully sourcing and closing land acquisition deals.
Strong understanding of residential property development and entitling processes.
Excellent negotiation, communication, and interpersonal skills.
Ability to analyze financial data and market trends effectively.
