Tax Senior Job Description The Tax Senior will play a critical role in our firm by providing outstanding tax services to our clients. This position requires strong technical skills, attention to detail, and the ability to work independently. The ideal candidate will have experience in CPA, Public Accounting, audits, Churches, Schools, and Non Profit organizations.
Position Overview
Lead and manage multiple tax engagements for a variety of clients, including churches, schools, and non-profit organizations
Prepare and review complex tax returns and provide tax planning services
Assist with IRS and state tax audits
Supervise and train tax associates
Stay updated on tax laws and regulations and communicate changes to team members and clients
Develop and maintain strong client relationships
Key Responsibilities
Prepare and review tax returns for individuals, corporations, partnerships, and trusts
Research and analyze tax laws and regulations to ensure compliance
Assist in tax planning and provide recommendations to clients
Prepare and review financial statements
Review client accounting records to ensure accuracy
Supervise and train tax associates
Communicate with clients to gather information and resolve tax-related issues
Assist with IRS and state tax audits
Maintain and update client files and tax records
Qualifications
CPA certification
Bachelor's degree in Accounting or related field
Minimum of 3-5 years of experience in Public Accounting
Experience with audits of non-profit organizations, churches, and schools
Thorough understanding of tax laws and regulations
Excellent analytical and problem-solving skills
Strong attention to detail
Ability to manage multiple projects and meet deadlines
Excellent communication and interpersonal skills
