We are seeking an experienced Commercial Construction Project Manager with a strong background in both interior finish out and ground-up builds to join our dynamic team in Austin, Texas. The ideal candidate will have a proven track record of successfully managing projects from conception to completion, with expertise in estimating, scheduling, budgeting, and client management.
Responsibilities:
Project Planning and Execution: Lead and oversee all phases of construction projects, including pre-construction planning, scheduling, budgeting, resource allocation, and on-site coordination.
Estimating and Budgeting: Prepare accurate cost estimates and budgets for projects, leveraging your expertise to ensure competitiveness and profitability.
Contract Negotiation: Negotiate contracts with subcontractors, suppliers, and clients, ensuring terms align with project goals and company standards.
Quality and Safety Assurance: Implement and maintain high standards of quality control and safety protocols throughout all project stages.
Client and Stakeholder Management: Serve as the primary point of contact for clients, architects, engineers, and subcontractors, fostering positive relationships and ensuring clear communication.
Team Leadership: Direct and supervise project team members, subcontractors, and vendors, providing guidance and support to achieve project milestones and goals.
Risk Management: Identify potential risks and develop mitigation strategies to minimize disruptions and ensure project success.
Compliance: Ensure all projects comply with building codes, regulations, and zoning laws, maintaining a strong commitment to industry best practices and standards.
Requirements:
8-10 years of progressive experience in commercial construction project management, with a focus on interior finish out and ground-up construction.
Proven ability to estimate projects accurately and manage budgets effectively.
Strong leadership skills with the ability to motivate and manage a diverse team.
Excellent communication, negotiation, and interpersonal skills.
Proficiency in construction management software and Microsoft Office Suite.
Knowledge of local building codes, regulations, and permitting processes in Austin, Texas, is highly desirable.
Project Management Professional (PMP) certification or similar credentials are a plus.
