Senior Accountant Position Overview The Senior Accountant will be responsible for overseeing financial reporting, ensuring compliance with accounting standards, and managing the month-end close process. This role requires expertise in general ledger management and a strong understanding of accounts payable and receivable functions.
Key Responsibilities
Lead the month-end close process and prepare financial statements in accordance with GAAP.
Manage and reconcile the general ledger accounts.
Oversee accounts payable and accounts receivable functions to ensure timely processing and reporting.
Prepare and review journal entries and maintain accurate and complete financial records.
Collaborate with external auditors during financial audits and support any necessary inquiries.
Assist in the preparation of annual budgets and forecasts.
Ensure compliance with tax regulations and manage payroll processes.
Qualifications
Bachelor's degree in Accounting or Finance; CPA preferred.
Minimum of 3 years of experience in accounting, with a focus on senior accounting roles.
Strong knowledge of accounting principles and financial reporting standards.
Experience in managing month-end close processes and general ledger functions.
Proficiency in accounting software and Microsoft Excel.
Excellent analytical and problem-solving skills.
Strong attention to detail and ability to work under tight deadlines.
