Senior/ Liability Claims Representative - Homeowners Position Overview The Homeowners Liability Claims Representative is responsible for managing and resolving complex liability claims, ensuring that each case is handled efficiently and effectively while maintaining compliance with all regulations. This role requires expertise in investigations, negotiations, subrogation, and possible litigation to deliver optimal outcomes for clients and the company.
Key Responsibilities
Manage and oversee homeowners liability claims from cradle to grave.
Conduct investigations, communicate with all stakeholders, identify subrogation opportunities, and be part of the litigation process if necessary.
Negotiate settlements with claimants, attorneys, and other parties to reach equitable resolutions.
Handle both homeowners liability claims and general liability claims, including both 1st and 3rd party claims.
Conduct thorough research and analysis to support claims decisions and ensure compliance with relevant laws and regulations.
Collaborate with legal teams on litigation matters, providing necessary documentation and insights for defense strategies.
Develop and maintain strong relationships with clients, stakeholders, and external vendors to facilitate the claims process.
This position requires you to be onsite in the Boston MA office 4 days a week.
Qualifications
Bachelor's degree in Business, Insurance, or a related field.
Minimum of 5 years of experience in liability claims handling, with a focus on investigations and negotiations.
Strong knowledge of homeowners liability claims and experience with both 1st and 3rd party claims.
Proven ability to handle complex claims and litigation processes effectively.
Excellent communication and negotiation skills, with a strong customer service orientation.
Proficient in claims management software and Microsoft Office Suite.
