As the Senior Tax Accountant, you are responsible for overseeing tax activities to ensure taxes are prepared and reconciled within regulations.
In this role, you will be supporting the financial integrity of the business through functions such as determining how new legislation impacts company reporting practices, managing documentation required for financial audits, and troubleshooting tax issues. In addition, the Senior Tax Accountant works to monitor all major tax initiatives such as filing returns, evaluating tax reconciliation protocols, and leading quality control analyses.

What You'll Do
Assesses how changes in tax legislation apply to current financial activities of the business.
Tracks company tax liabilities to create quality control reports.
Supports tax and financial audits by preparing related documentation.
Prepares and files federal, state, and local income tax returns on the corporate and partnership level.
Calculates and files estimated quarterly income tax payments.
Collaborates with management to resolve tax issues and tax accounting issues.
Consults with outside service providers and local tax authorities to resolve payroll, property, and sales tax issues.
Reviews and reports information required under the ACA and to the IRS.

Experience/Educational Requirements
Bachelor's Degree or higher in Accounting required
5 + years of corporate tax department experience or relevant experience required
Technical, working knowledge of all areas of tax, including but not limited to federal, state, local, and tax accounting required
Experience with tax preparation and research resources such as CCH and RIA preferred
Experience with financial accounting systems such as JD Edwards preferred
