Establish the division's architecture capability in alignment with the IT vision, business objectives, industry trends, and risk/compliance policies.
Create and maintain an architecture repository, document templates, and lifecycle processes for architecture artifacts (e.g., technology capability models, reference architectures, technical specifications/designs, standards/principles).
Develop and maintain architecture principles, standards, and guidelines, ensuring alignment with IT/business objectives, industry trends, and risk/compliance policies.
Collaborate with domain experts to document the current technology landscape and architecture roadmaps using viewpoints tailed to diverse audiences including engineers, product management, security/compliance teams, and business/IT leaders.
Leverage insights from emerging technologies, proof-of-concepts, intentional architecture, and emergent architecture to guide domain leads in the development of consumable technology components (e.g., software libraries, tools, frameworks).
Manage and facilitate the architecture review board (ARB), including governance, processes, membership, intake, prioritization, meeting organization, decision-making, conflict resolution, documentation, and continuous improvement of ARB practices.
Foster relationships with stakeholders and partner organizations (e.g., application development, infrastructure, information security, data, product management, delivery management).
Contribute to IT goals, objectives, planning, and budgeting processes.
Adopt a Developer Experience (DevEx) mindset to ensure architecture products and services offer tangible value to software and system engineers.
Qualifications:
A minimum of 10 years of hands-on software development experience with modern technology stacks.
Comprehensive experience in domain-specific architecture concepts and emerging technologies (application, data, infrastructure, security, compliance, Cloud, Blockchain, GenAI, etc.).
Familiarity with architecture frameworks like TOGAF for establishing and executing architecture capabilities.
Proven servant leadership skills with the ability to influence engineers, teams, and leaders towards adopting technical strategies and solutions.
Experience in building and maintaining relationships across IT organization levels and with external vendors.
Proficiency in coordinating and facilitating meetings with senior-level participants.
