Role Overview:
We are looking for a skilled IT Support Engineer to provide onsite L1/L2 support, including hardware/software troubleshooting, network support, and installations. This is a freelance, part-time role where you'll be paid per job. Travel to client sites is required, with expenses covered.
Responsibilities:
Perform hardware and software installations, upgrades, and break-fix services
Troubleshoot and resolve desktop, laptop, and network issues
Provide deskside support and help desk services to end-users
Manage IT asset inventory and work with 3rd party vendors as needed
Qualifications:
1-4 years of IT support experience (Windows 7/10, hardware, software)
Diploma in IT or related field; A+ certification preferred
Strong internetworking and troubleshooting skills
Excellent communication and customer service skills
Ability to work independently and manage multiple tasks
Must be a Canadian citizen or authorized to work in Canada
Fluent in English (B2 level or higher)
Additional Information:
Onsite role with travel; flexible hours
Pay based on hours or days worked on client sites
Most tasks are during business hours (Mon-Fri, 8 AM-6 PM)
