Optomi, in partnership with a leading global organization, is seeking a Networking Engineer II to join their team. This role will focus on the design, deployment, configuration, and support of network infrastructure in both cloud and on-prem environments. You will work autonomously, providing expert-level guidance to teams on network issues and projects, ensuring security compliance, and contributing to complex cross-functional initiatives.

Experience of the Right Candidate:
4+ years of experience as a network engineer or administrator, with strong expertise in both networking and security operations.
Experience leading cross-functional projects and troubleshooting complex network and security issues.
Certifications such as Cisco CCNP/CCDP or equivalent (Cisco CCIE/CCDE, Fortinet preferred) and strong knowledge of networking protocols, security technologies, and cloud/networking platforms.
Strong knowledge of networking technologies, including routing protocols (IGP, BGP, EIGRP, OSPF), network services (IPv6, DHCP, DNS, NAT), and MPLS.
Proficient in deploying, managing, and troubleshooting Cisco, HPE, and Fortinet switches, routers, firewalls, and IDS/IPS systems.
Ability to design and implement high-availability, redundant networks using technologies such as F5, QoS, LACP, HSRP, and GLBP.
Advanced skills in network security, including configuring VLANs, VoIP, TLS, SSL, multi-factor authentication, and monitoring tools.
Experience with cloud networking platforms (AWS, Microsoft Azure) and virtualization technologies (VMware, ESXi).
Responsibilities of the Right Candidate:
Networking: Design, deploy, and support scalable networks; collaborate on monitoring and securing on-prem, cloud, and remote networks; troubleshoot complex networking issues.
Operational: Implement capacity planning models, redundancy solutions, and network monitoring tools; contribute to Change and Incident Management processes; evaluate vendor services and network technologies.
Security Operations: Investigate and resolve security risks; create and maintain network security policies; recommend security technologies for network segmentation, access control, and endpoint security.
