Our client is seeking an experienced and visionary Tech Director to lead our technical operations and strategy in the IT staffing industry. As a Tech Director, you will be responsible for overseeing technical recruitment processes, managing tech teams, overseeing quality of training and delivery of our custom technology training programs, leading the strategic direction of our technical services, and ensuring client satisfaction through quality delivery of projects. This role requires a blend of technical expertise, strategic thinking, leadership skills and a deep understanding of the IT staffing sector.
Key Responsibilities
Strategic Leadership: Define and execute the technical vision and strategy to align with company goals and industry trends, ensuring competitive positioning in the IT staffing market.
Team Management: Lead and mentor a team of technical recruiters, consultants, and support staff. Foster a culture of collaboration, continuous learning, and performance excellence.
Training Delivery: Oversee trainings being administered across various technology stacks; review content in a timely manner and work with the subject matter experts to ensure training content is in alignment with market need/ demand.
Recruitment Strategy: Oversee technical recruitment processes, ensuring high-quality talent acquisition that meets client requirements. Collaborate with recruitment teams to identify and attract top IT talent.
Project Oversight: Manage end-to-end delivery of client projects, ensuring timely and successful implementation of technical solutions. Resolve escalated issues and optimize processes for efficiency and quality.
Technical Innovation: Identify and implement emerging technologies that can enhance client offerings and improve operational efficiencies. Lead initiatives for digital transformation and process automation.
Performance Monitoring: Track KPIs and analyze performance metrics to drive improvements in service delivery and client satisfaction. Report on technical performance and project outcomes to executive leadership.
Client Engagement: Build and maintain strong relationships with clients, understanding their technology needs and recommending effective solutions. Act as a technical advisor to clients and internal teams.
Compliance and Risk Management: Ensure all technical processes comply with industry standards and regulations, managing risks effectively to safeguard data security and privacy.
Required Qualifications
Bachelor's degree in Computer Science, Information Technology, or a related field; Master's degree preferred.
8+ years of experience in IT, with a focus on staffing, consulting, or technical service delivery.
Proven experience in leadership roles, with a successful track record of managing and developing technical teams.
Strong understanding of IT staffing processes, technical recruitment, and client relationship management.
Excellent knowledge of project management methodologies and tools (e.g., Agile, Scrum).
Ability to communicate complex technical concepts effectively to both technical and non-technical stakeholders.
Strong analytical and problem-solving skills with a strategic mindset.
Familiarity with technologies relevant to staffing operations, such as ATS, CRM, and HR software.
