Our client has an immediate need for a Senior Business Systems Analyst, who is responsible for analyzing user requirements, procedures, and problems to automate or improve existing systems and review computer system capabilities, workflow, and scheduling limitations
Requirements:
Bachelor's Degree
Master's Degree in Finance is a plus
Subject matter expertise in Financial and Regulatory Reporting for Financial Institutions well as tools and methodologies used for business analytics
Focus on functional knowledge of the Regulatory Reports (9C/14M/14Q) and knowledge about loans
5-8 years of experience working as a Business Analyst or a Data Analyst, with a minimum of 3 years of experience in financial analysis or modeling for Asset Liability Management, Treasury Management, Credit Risk Management or SCCL/Basel III Regulations
Relevant work experience in interpreting Fed instructions for specific regulatory reports and converting them to technical requirements for building regulatory reports
Understanding of the Capital regulations for U.S Banks
Intermediate to advanced level SQL skills for data analysis in Oracle and Teradata databases
Proficiency in Excel, with exposure to BI tools such as Tableau / Microsoft Power BI / Oracle BI
Extensive experience in the analysis, definition and documentation of business and data requirements.
Experience in FRY 9c, FRY 14M/Q, FR2590, Basel III, and the corresponding regulatory submissions would be highly relevant. Detailed knowledge of the reports and report layouts pertaining to specific schedules within any of these regulatory reports is required
Responsibilities:
Gather requirements from business units and translate those to programmers and developers
Provides consulting services to internal business groups on process improvement projects designed to improve business results
Confer with clients regarding the nature of the information processing or computation needs
Coordinate and link the computer systems within an organization to increase compatibility so information can be shared
Consult with management to ensure agreement on system principles
Expand or modify the system to serve new purposes or improve workflow
Understanding of how to elicit functional and non-functional requirements
