Job Description:

LHH is seeking a Systems Administrator for a local financal company. The Systems Administrator will be responsible for the installation, configuration, maintenance, and reliable operation of computer systems, network servers, and virtualization. This role will take on some of the workload from our strategic IT leader, who oversees the rest of IT and helpdesk operations. The ideal candidate will ensure the integrity of high availability network infrastructure to provide maximum performance for users.

Key Responsibilities:
  • Install, configure, and maintain operating systems, application software, and system management tools.
  • Monitor and test application performance for potential bottlenecks, identify possible solutions, and work with developers to implement those fixes.
  • Maintain security, backup, and redundancy strategies.
  • Write and maintain custom scripts to increase system efficiency and lower the human intervention time on any tasks.
  • Participate in the design of information and operational support systems.
  • Provide 2nd and 3rd level support.
  • Liaise with vendors and other IT personnel for problem resolution.
  • Handle day-to-day operations and project implementation.

Requirements:
  • BSc/Ba in Information Technology, Computer Science, or a related discipline; professional certification (e.g., Microsoft Certified Systems Administrator (MCSA)) is a plus.
  • Experience with VMWare V-Sphere and Hybrid Azure/Active Directory.
  • End user work, deploying workstations, designing deployment tools and methodologies.
  • Self-driven analytical thinker with a good broad understanding of technologies.
  • Open to candidates with 3+ years of experience, ideally 5+ years.
  • Proven experience as a Systems Administrator, Network Administrator, or similar role.
  • Experience with databases, networks (LAN, WAN), and patch management.
  • Knowledge of system security (e.g., intrusion detection systems) and data backup/recovery.
  • Ability to create scripts in Python, Perl, or other language.
  • Resourcefulness and problem-solving aptitude.
  • Excellent communication skills.
