The Application Delivery Team lead will have the responsibility to ensure the adequate security posture for numerous networking applications, web-based Intranet, operating systems and applications supporting infrastructure activities are in compliance with 508, FIPS-201, HSPD-12 and other HHS policies and standards. The responsibilities also include the validation of common application security configuration management, the assurance of accurate installations, and functioning software applications. delivery of Customer deliverables, creation of Customer briefs for status and regular meetings. This role will interface across the program ensuring support of the technical roadmap interfacing with Network Operations as well as the architecture engineering group.
Primary Responsibilities:
Provide on-site support to the health agency in MD
Sustain and optimize multiple F5 BIG-IP physical and virtual systems to support load balancing and high availability for critical mission and infrastructure application
Implement and manage BIG-IP web application firewalls
Manage a small application delivery team including assigning tasks, priorities, and due dates
Provide backfill for other security team activities as needed
Work with other network engineers and architects to support major upgrade or new network initiatives
Maintain and enhance monitoring solutions for applications
Support documentation changes to ATO packages as needed
Required Qualifications:
Bachelor's Degree in Computer Science, Information Systems, Engineering or other related discipline or equivalent related experience
Must have one or more of the following certifications: F5 Certified Technology Specialist or F5 Certified Solution Expert
Seven (7) years of related load balancing experience
Three (3) years of experience configuring Cisco switches, routers, and firewalls
Management experience for small technical teams
Two years of experience implementing load balancing solutions for cloud applications
Experience working with enterprise VPN, PKI infrastructure, and DNS solutions
Thorough knowledge of network security concepts and emerging cybersecurity capabilities
Thorough knowledge of various enterprise security point technologies and tools
Demonstrated experience supporting a large Federal agency preferably in HHS.
Possess the knowledge of security best practices, security solutions, and methodologies for risk management
Must be able to obtain a public trust security clearance
Preferred Qualifications:
Active CISSP certification strongly desired
ITIL 4, CCIE, CCNP
Operational experience with environments employing cloud or software-defined networking
Operational experience using ScienceLogic SL1
Demonstrated experience implementing successful continuous process improvement within an IT infrastructure environment
Experience using ServiceNow Project Portfolio Management
