Role Description
Arcadis is seeking a Senior Water Engineer to join our Resilience Water Team in Southern California. This role involves leading and managing regional project delivery and pursuits within the municipal water/wastewater market. The Senior Water Engineer will play a key role in growing the team, managing project delivery, and building strong client relationships.
Role Accountabilities
In this position, you will serve as the Project Manager for municipal water and wastewater projects. You will also engage in client development activities, contribute to positioning strategies, and assist with proposal and presentation efforts. Collaborating with the Area Leader(s) and client Account Leader(s), you will help develop project scopes, create fee estimates, and manage risk to ensure successful project outcomes. Additionally, you will lead the planning, design, and construction of water and wastewater treatment plants, stormwater systems, distribution/collection systems, and pump/lift stations. This includes overseeing the creation of construction documents, specifications, and providing design support during construction.
As a Senior Water Engineer, you will manage a variety of projects for multiple clients, overseeing budgets and delivery schedules while ensuring that project teams meet deliverables. You will work directly with clients to identify their needs and provide effective solutions. You will also coordinate multi-disciplined engineering teams and ensure that design tasks are completed on time and within budget. In addition, you will mentor junior engineers and design/drafting staff, ensuring adherence to Arcadis' quality and safety standards. Some travel may be required for project site visits, client meetings, and construction oversight, depending on project needs.
Required Qualifications
To be considered for this role, you should have at least 10 years of progressively responsible leadership experience in the water and wastewater field. A Bachelor's degree in Civil, Environmental, Mechanical, Chemical Engineering, or a related field is required, as well as a current PE License in California or the ability to obtain one within six months.
Preferred Qualifications
A Master's degree in Engineering and experience with alternative project delivery methods are preferred, along with proficiency in MS Office applications, including Microsoft Project. The ability to work effectively with teams locally and across remote offices is essential.

Arcadis offers benefits for full time and part time positions. We offer nine paid holidays and 20 days PTO that accrue per year. The salary range for this position is $112,240 - $168,360. Actual salaries will vary and are based on several factors, such as experience, education, budget, internal equity, project and location.
