We are seeking an experienced Windows 10 to 11 Migration Specialist to assist with the onsite migration of Windows 10 devices to Windows 11 across our organization. This role will involve direct interaction with end users, troubleshooting issues, and ensuring a seamless transition to the new operating system while maintaining business continuity. The ideal candidate will have expertise in deploying and supporting Windows 10 and Windows 11, and possess strong communication skills to work effectively with a diverse user base.
Key Responsibilities:
Windows 10 to 11 Migration: Lead the migration process for Windows 10 workstations to Windows 11, ensuring compatibility, performance, and functionality.
Device Assessment & Compatibility Check: Perform hardware and software assessments on devices to ensure they meet the requirements for Windows 11 and take necessary action (e.g., firmware updates, driver installations).
Deployment & Configuration: Coordinate the deployment of Windows 11 across various devices, including troubleshooting, imaging, configuration, and installation of required software and updates.
User Support & Troubleshooting: Provide onsite support during the migration process, including addressing user-specific issues related to application compatibility, settings, and profiles.
Documentation & Reporting: Maintain detailed documentation of migration progress, device inventory, and issue resolution. Provide reports to management on migration status and completed tasks.
Training & User Guidance: Educate users on new features and changes in Windows 11, providing best practices for use and answering user questions during the migration process.
Collaboration: Work closely with IT teams, system administrators, and other departments to ensure the migration process runs smoothly and efficiently with minimal downtime.
Post-Migration Support: Provide ongoing support and troubleshooting for users following migration, addressing any post-migration issues related to software, hardware, or system configurations.
