Candidate must have three to five years experience performing analysis including the ability to analyze financial and business related data. Candidate must demonstrate an ability to analyze, explain and draw logical conclusions from data. Good written and verbal communications are required. The financial analyst is responsible for developing, guiding and supporting the financial analysis requirements of operational management. Duties include analysis of actual costs, preparation of monthly revenue recognition and revenue forecasts. The candidate will be responsible for consolidation of individual project data to summarize total operations information, preparation of management reports and any other special analysis required by operational or financial management. Should be able to handle adhoc projects from upper management and corporate, which will be used to make strategic business decisions. Will have to calculate standard cost rates and recommend improvements as necessary. Will be assisting cost center managers in forecasting and budgeting.BS in Business Administration, Accounting Finance or equivalent degree required.3-5 years experience in financial planning and analysis requiredWorking knowledge of financial procedures, techniques and demonstrated analytic capability.knowledge of budgeting, cost rates establishment, business case development and variance analysis Strong oral and written communication skills, the ability to handle multiple tasks simultaneously and advanced knowledge of spreadsheet modeling required.

Day-to-Day Responsibilities/Workload:
- Tracks exposure and collateral reports in order to manage credit risk
- Monitors expiring collateral and coordinates with banks or insurance companies to draw on collateral, when necessary
- Processes margin calls with counterparties and clearing firms. Expeditiously resolves margin disputes.
- Reviews incoming collateral instruments such as letters of credit, parental guarantees, surety bonds, escrow accounts, and cash for accuracy and processes for approval
- Coordinates with banks and others to issue letters of credit when SCE is required to post collateral
- Enters all transactions in the credit risk system to ensure accurate recording of all collateral held and posted
- Performs variance analysis of Risk Management General Ledger cash accounts for financial and audit purposes
- Represents Treasury Operations team at companywide meetings regarding policies and documents
Required Skills/Attributes:
- Three or more years of experience in an analytical role.
- Bachelor's Degree or higher in Business, Accounting, Economics or related field
- Proficiency with Microsoft Suite applications such as Excel, Word and PowerPoint
- Ability to quickly learn software systems
Desired Skills/Attributes:
- Experience with energy contracts, risk management related to energy procurement, or the CAISO market
- Knowledge of accounting processes and procedures
- Experience with macros and database queries
- Knowledge of Entegrate, Endur, or other commodity trading systems
- Experience with SAP or similar enterprise wide ERP system
- Strong verbal/written communication and interpersonal skills
- Ability to effectively work in a fast-paced environment
- Ability to follow Edison Safety protocols and principals
