The Self Perform Manager leads and manages Self-Perform efforts across all regions to maximize opportunities and improve efficiency. The Self Perform Manager is responsible for developing and updating Business Plan goals and actions for self-performed work, leading continuous improvement processes, and developing strategic subcontractor and vendor relationships. They also provide executive level reporting and support construction teams as needed. This role requires technical expertise in construction methods, the ability to manage conflict and emergency situations, and effective use of computer systems.
Skills & Qualifications
Bachelor's degree required, in Construction, Engineering, Architecture, or related field
8+ years commercial construction related experience in project oversight or field supervision
Proven track record of meeting safety, schedule, and cost objectives
Technical expert in the knowledge of construction methods, including but not limited to structural steel, concrete, and drywall systems
Ability to perceive needs of others and communicate/demonstrate how needs will be satisfied
Ability to effectively manage conflict and emergency situations
• Ability to effectively use computer systems
Primary Duties
Lead Business Planning efforts for Self-Perform
Lead all efforts of implementing Self Perform Actions as established in the Business Plan
Lead Self Perform continuous improvement processes
Develop yearly training courses & facilitate training sessions
Develop and steward strategic contractor and vendor relationships
Provide peer and "area of expertise" support for construction teams
Provide executive level reporting
