Job Objective:
Lead the Emergency Department to meet high standards in patient care, satisfaction, employee engagement, and clinical outcomes. Oversee budgeting, staffing, and operational goals to ensure safe, effective, and efficient care.
Key Responsibilities:
Leadership & Planning: Set and evaluate annual goals, manage department budgets, and ensure staffing aligns with care needs.
Collaboration: Work closely with medical staff and other departments to maintain high-quality care and a safe environment.
Team Development: Hire, train, and support staff, promoting professional growth, satisfaction, and retention.
Quality & Compliance: Establish and uphold standards of care, assess performance, and lead continuous improvement initiatives.
Communication: Facilitate interdepartmental collaboration and serve as a resource on patient care and department policies.
Qualifications:
Education: Bachelor's in Nursing required; Master's in Nursing, Healthcare Administration, or related field preferred.
Experience: Minimum 3 years of management-level nursing, with Emergency Department experience preferred.
Licenses/Certifications: CA RN license, BLS, ACLS, and PALS certifications.
