The Pier B On-Dock Rail Support Facility(ODRSF) is a phased railyard expansion program, including right-of-way acquisition, utility relocations, street re-alignment, and traffic improvements. The expansion will provide a staging yard for on-dock rail operations and increase on-dock rail activity at terminals.
Daily Responsibilities:
The PIERB ODRSF Project controls team seeks qualified consultant support to supplement the port team. The consultant will support the project controls lead on various PIER B project controls tasks such as real estate and utility relocation, planning and monitoring, and program master scheduling. The consultant will have the skills and experience to engage in the following tasks: participate in scheduling workshops and interactive planning sessions develop project delivery schedules for any new projects identified on the program ad-hoc reports as needed manage project Baselines and variance analysis create what-if scenario as requested prepare capital outlay projections participate in project design reviews and offer comments on phasing and constructability support PMs during project meetings work with the team to update the utility relocation schedule monitor and identify deviations and analyze impacts on major program milestones participate in Grant and Risk workshops to understand requirements and model them in the schedule.
Previous work experience working on large projects. Strong knowledge of construction scheduling is a must. Prior work experience for the utility relocation and rail yard/infrastructure is preferred. Expert in MS Office (Excel), MS project and Primavera P6.
