We are seeking an enthusiastic Bilingual Community and Outreach Manager to lead community outreach strategies and support the Promotora/Community Health Worker (CHW) model. This role involves organizing health fairs, facilitating community meetings, participating in advocacy actions, and empowering communities to navigate services and adopt healthier practices.
Responsibilities:
Manage CHW programs, supervise staff, and implement strategic outreach initiatives.
Develop and maintain relationships with community residents and organizations.
Organize community events and implement educational campaigns to address health and social challenges.
Coordinate with local agencies for integrated support to newly arrived immigrant families.
Ensure grant deliverables and attend operations meetings.
Serve as a liaison with community partners.
Qualifications:
Bachelor's degree in Social Services, Public Health, or related field and 2 years of program experience; or 5+ years of experience in program administration and staff supervision.
Fluency in Spanish (spoken and written) is essential, including the ability to create flyers and correspondence.
Experience managing unionized staff is preferred.
Proficiency in Microsoft Office and ability to type at least 45 WPM.
Willingness to work weekends and travel to various sites as needed.
Driving Requirements: Valid California driver's license, proof of insurance, and ability to travel between sites (mileage reimbursed).
CPR Certification: Obtainable within 90 days of hire.
