Burke & Herbert Bank & Trust

Provides coaching and feedback to all branch team members including management on operations related items. Ensures compliance with established standards, policies, and procedures.

Essential Functions

  • Supports CBO and Area Managers on operational related responsibilities of retail banking.
  • Develop and/or write policy and procedures.
  • Communicate and coach branch staff on new or updated operational processes and procedures.
  • Oversees the proper management of branch cash supplies (Cash Ordering).
  • Perform periodic branch inspections and provide feedback for improvement to branch management.
  • Test branch related systems to ensure proper function and controls.
  • Work with different business lines on operations related items.
  • Perform market research for bank products.
  • Support with external audits and response and help remediate the findings.
  • Serve on teams and task groups for projects/initiatives within the business unit and across the organization.
  • Assisting in the installation of equipment along with training and support (i.e., TCR)
  • Analyze, research, and resolve problems and discrepancies in relation to customer accounts.
  • Represent branch banking on numerous operational projects as assigned

Other Duties:

  • Complies with all policies and procedures as applied to the Bank's BSA/AML policy.
  • Perform other duties as assigned.

Skills/Abilities

  • Thorough knowledge of modern office practices and procedures and the use of office machines and equipment.
  • Thorough knowledge of policies and procedures of the Bank.
  • Ability to understand and interpret pertinent policies and procedures clearly and accurately.
  • Ability to establish and maintain effective working relationships with supervisors, co-workers, executive team members, customers, and the general public.
  • Ability to communicate effectively.
  • Excellent organizational skills.
  • Adapts to change.
  • Strong administrative skills.

Education and Experience

  • High School Diploma or equivalent required.
  • 3+ years of Branch Banking experience required.
  • Proficient in Microsoft Outlook, Excel and Word.
  • Analyzing reports and data.
  • Management experience preferred.


Supervisory Responsibility

This position has no supervisory responsibilities.

Work Environment

This job operates in an office setting. This role routinely uses standard office equipment such as computers, phones, photocopiers, filing cabinets and fax machines. Office environment with job duties conducted via telephone, face-to-face meetings, and on the computer.

Physical Demands

This position requires manual dexterity, the ability to lift files and opening cabinets. This position requires bending, stooping or standing as necessary.

Travel

Travel may be required for this position.
