Seeking qualified candidate for a Technical Research Assistant to work on multiple studies of aging and Alzheimer's disease at Brigham and Women's Hospital, Neurology Department. Working under general supervision from lab members, the person in this role will apply statistical and laboratory techniques to imaging and biofluid biomarkers of Alzheimer's disease. Specifically, image processing techniques such as lesion segmentation, image registration, multimodal fusion, and convolutional neural networks on neuroimaging data will be combined with laboratory-based immunoassays to investigate novel biomarkers. Candidate will participate in ongoing experiments, collaborate with researchers, contribute to discussions, and assist with data management. This is a great opportunity for a master's student who is looking for research experience. Demonstrating examples of using Python-based programming for medical notes text mining and convolutional neuronal networks for neuroimaging feature extraction is a plus.
PRINCIPAL DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIES:
To apply text mining and convolutional neural network model on longitudinal data for feature extraction.
To assist in data management of multi-site and multi-visit imaging and research data.
To prepare reports and presentations for knowledge dissementation.
Independently perform data entry in study databases, utilizing data management software, regular quality assurance checks, and preparation of specific data for analysis.
All other duties as assigned.
Qualifications
QUALIFICATIONS:
Bachelor degree in Engineering or Computer Science, Masters is preferred
Previous experience in multi-domain research groups

Excellent interpersonal skills to be able to interact with other researchers
Strong team player and can communicate well within an interdisciplinary team.
High level of organizational skills with strong attention to detail.
