Job Summary



The Crimson Cupboard Student Assistant supports the mission of Crimson Cupboard by assisting the Associate Director of Basic Needs in coordination, implementation, supervision, and evaluation of the Crimson Cupboard Food Pantry. The student worker will work alongside other Crimson Cupboard staff.


General Responsibilities


  • Supports daily pantry operations.

  • Shops for and stocks pantry items.

  • Assists with the emergency meal share program.

  • Conducts outreach to campus and community partners.

  • Maintains relationships with key partners (Hoosier Hills Foodbank, Campus Kitchens, IU Campus Farm, Campus View Apartments).

Required



  • Currently enrolled as a student at Indiana University

WORK EXPERIENCE

  • Demonstrated leadership experience

LICENSES AND CERTIFICATES



Required



  • Possesses a valid driver¿s license with the ability to be insured by Indiana University

SKILLS

  • Ability to work independently and to exercise autonomy in decision-making

  • Demonstrates commitment to fostering an inclusive environment

  • Strong computing skills




Working Conditions / Demands



This role requires the ability to effectively communicate and to operate a computer and other standard office productivity equipment. The position involves sedentary work as well as periods of time moving around an office environment and the campus. This position requires the ability to lift objects weighing up to 25 pounds. The person in this role must be able to perform the essential functions with or without an accommodation.

$15.00 per hour



Work Hours



10-20 hours per week.
