Volt is immediately hiring for a Field Service Technician in Boston, MA.
As a Field Service Technician, you will:
Managing a diverse customer base across a defined territory
Troubleshooting equipment malfunctions and quality issues
Performing equipment installations, repairs, and maintenance
Optimizing inventory levels and delivering value-added services
Effectively communicating with customers and internal teams
Leveraging technical knowledge to solve complex problems
Improving customer processes through technical assistance
Accurately documenting service activities and data
Adhering to safety protocols and safe driving practices
Conducting routine service audits
Utilizing data analytics to enhance performance
This is a full time, direct hire role.
The ideal candidate will have:
Mechanical, Chemical, or Industrial Engineering background
Strong mechanical aptitude, particularly in electrical and pipefitting
Excellent time management and attention to detail
Strong verbal and written communication skills
Proficiency in performing technical and mechanical field testing
Ability to work independently with minimal supervision
Daily travel to client sites within a 3-hour radius of Boston, MA
Perform on-site technical and mechanical services
Troubleshoot equipment issues and implement solutions
Maintain accurate records and documentation
Collaborate with team members and customers
Valid driver's license and clean driving record
Willingness to travel up to 80% (including overnight stays)
Local to the Boston, MA area
Salary: $90,000 - $100,000/year
