Service Technician 1 at Volt in Turlock, California

Job Description:

Volt is immediately hiring for a Service Tech in Turlock, CA.

As a Service Tech you will:

• Repairs machinery equipment following oral and written work orders.

• Reassembles complete units, tests function of pumps and mechanical units using auxiliary power. Test-runs engines at various speeds and observes efficiency of operations.

• Ability to perform major and general repairs on all equipment.

• Required to record labor and material used on each repair made.

• Required to take proper care and use of test equipment.

• Move large objects using heavy equipment.

• All other job-related duties as assigned.



This is a full-time Direct Hire opportunity. Monday-Friday



The ideal candidate will have:

• Knowledge of machinery, electrical and other systems, and their components

• Experience with belt, chain, and direct driven machinery as well as chain, belt and screw conveying systems and machinery.

• Good verbal and communication skills

• Must be able to use and read tape measure.

• Valid Class C Driver's License

• Welding Certificate (or obtain within 3 months of hire)

• Proficient in manufacturing math; multiplication, division, decimals to fractions, fractions to decimals

• Ability to use gauging equipment from .001" up, dial indicators, micrometers, feeler gauges, etc.

• The ability to climb and work from ladders and/or man-lifts.

• Must pass pre-employment M. A. T. testing & Fabricator Tool Test

• Previous experience working with Dairy Fields or Dairy Service

• Mobile Crane Operator

• Electrician

• Field Mechanic

• Welder

• Maintenance & Repair Work (general)

• Class A Driver's License

• Parts removal, installation, and alignment

• Strong commitment to health and safety guidelines

• Critical thinking skills to solve job related problems.



Shift Premiums are paid based on certification(s) and or license(s) held/obtained.



Pay rate: $21.00 per hour
