Position Summary:
The General Manager is responsible for overseeing all aspects of the subsidiary(s). This role involves full P&L responsibility, strategic planning, business development, partnerships, management, and execution of construction projects, ensuring they are completed on time, within budget, and to the highest quality standards.
Duties/Responsibilities:
Oversee the Construction Business - devising strategy, business development, team development, and the overall P&L.
Oversee the planning, scheduling, and execution of all construction projects.
Develops and maintains a strong network of partnerships to support long-term growth. This includes customers, industry leaders, joint venture partners, teammates, subcontractors and vendors.
Review and approve project plans, budgets, and timelines.
Review the proposal's scope of work, specifications, and drawings to ensure they clearly define the project requirements and client expectations.
Ensure projects are completed on time, within budget, and meet quality standards.
Manage construction teams, which may include project managers, site supervisors, and other construction staff.
Perform program financial management, including financial analysis, budget and cost quote preparation, cost management, reconciliation, and profit enhancement.
Responsible for contract profitability and revenue growth.
Coordinate, collaborate, and communicate with the customer to address potential problems, issues, and/or risks that may impact the mission and/or contract deliverables.
Develop and implement construction/safety policies, procedures, and best practices.
Coordinates and monitors sub-contractor activities and administers subcontractor deliverables and finances.
Develop and review proposal packages for submission to client and attend negotiations to support the proposal as submitted.
Monitor project costs and implement cost-saving measures.
Implement and enforce safety standards and regulations on all construction sites.
Conduct site inspections to ensure compliance with quality and safety standards.
Build and maintain strong relationships with clients, contractors, suppliers, and other stakeholders.
Address and resolve any issues or disputes that arise during construction projects.
Communicate project progress and status to senior management and stakeholders.
Proactively identify new business opportunities and potential construction projects.
Recruit and retain the required mix of personnel with the appropriate qualifications, expertise, and experience to perform the duties and responsivities needed.
Stay updated on industry trends, innovations, and best practices.
Ensure all construction activities comply with local, state, and federal regulations.
Other duties as assigned.

Minimum Requirements:
Bachelor's degree in construction management, civil engineering, architecture, business or a related field.
Minimum of 5 years of construction experience.
Minimum of 10 years in management with 5 years experience in a Senior role, with a proven track record of successfully managing construction projects.
Experience with JOC, SATOC, MATOC and SABER contracts.
Strong understanding of Government Contracting.
Proficient experience with Microsoft Office, Outlook, Excel, Word, PowerPoint, SharePoint.
Experience with and/or ability to learn project specific software such as ProCore or similar.
Extensive knowledge of construction and engineering means and methods.
Strong leadership and team management skills.
Excellent knowledge of construction methods, materials, and regulations.
Strong financial acumen and budgeting skills.
Excellent communication, negotiation, and interpersonal skills.
Ability to solve complex problems and make critical decisions under pressure.
Must be able to pass a government background investigation and obtain the appropriate government access and SBA compliance.
Must possess an active unrestricted driver's license.
Work Environment:
Travel may be required to various project locations (flights and driving).
The role often involves working under tight deadlines and managing multiple projects simultaneously.
