Youth Programs Spring Intern World Learning' Youth Exchange team seeks an Admissions Intern to assist the Youth Exchange Admissions team in supporting our current and future youth exchange programs. The Youth Exchange Admissions Intern will work directly with the Admissions Officers and Admissions Coordinators to help support enrollment processes, procedures and communication with applicants and enrolled participants, parents/guardians, and support pre-departure counseling and document collection including but not limited to Passport Copies, Health Forms, Conditions of Participation, Acknowledgement of Risk forms. This intern will also help support Youth Exchange participant recruitment and selection processes including but not limited to application review, administrative processes related to semi-finalist selection, and monitoring of the shared inboxes to support applicants and participants. The duties will be performed all in the name of building bridges across cultures and preparing the next generation of global leaders to tackle the world's challenges. Responsibilities • Data management related but not limited to application materials, applicant selection, pre-departure documents; • Manage program inboxes; • Support with participant document collection; • Monitor and improve customer service related to Youth Exchange program inquires; • Streamline current organizational systems; • Assist with pre-departure counseling by creating or editing materials and disseminating information; • Assist with applications and review process, and; • Assist with administrative tasks; Requirements Required Experience/Education: • An undergraduate degree in a related field or substantial work toward a degree; o Equivalent education/experience can substitute for all required qualifications except where there are specific constraints noted, such as a license/certification/registration or eligibility requirements stipulated by a U.S. Government contract; and • Applicants must be authorized to work in the location where this position is offered. Required Skills: • Proven written and oral English communication skills, including public speaking experience and strong writing skills; • High level of comfort with technology and an interest in utilizing new technologies to increase efficiency; • Proficient in Microsoft Office/Teams/SharePoint/Outlook/Excel or similar communication platforms; and • Demonstrated ability to manage multiple tasks simultaneously, coordinate activities in multiple locations, and prioritizing competing tasks. Preferred skills: • Previous work and/or interest in the youth sector; • International travel/work experience; • Experience in advising/counseling or working with youth; and • Foreign language skills (Spanish, Arabic, French, other).
