RMC is hiring for a Sr. System Administrator to support our customer at NSWC Indian Head. The System Administrator will work with a team of highly talented individuals supporting RDT&E network connected and standalone laboratories. Responsibilities in this position include, but are not limited to:
Must be resourceful self-starter, flexible, proactive, solution-oriented and customer-oriented.
Must have strong troubleshooting skills without supervision.
Windows and Linux System Administration experience to include general Windows and Linux standard services such as DNS, print servers, Active Directory, DHCP, NTP, Proxy, etc.
Application Integration support for COTS and GOTS applications in Windows and Linux based environments.
Perform system hardening per DoD standards (STIGs) and generate necessary artifacts and mitigation statements.
Experience planning, implementing and maintaining enterprise applications and services on a DoD environment
Installation, maintenance, and removal of specialized software on windows workstations and servers.
Create/maintain documentation/diagrams of computer systems/network environments.
Administration of technical cybersecurity compliance and execution recommendations related to DoD and DoN policies to include STIGs and any vendor security best practice guides.
Perform ACAS Scans and support vulnerability remediation.
Develop, deploy, and maintain security related web architectures.
Troubleshoot issues across multiple environments to include IIS / SQL / OS / Network / Cloud.
Ensure configuration control procedures are followed for all work activities.
Install, configure, and maintain software platforms to include, but not limited to Configuration Manager, License Managers and other lab specific software
Development of certification and accreditation documentation for Navy systems.
Implement and maintain cloud-based infrastructure, security access policies, and automated provisioning.
Support Tier 3 escalated ticket troubleshooting.
Salary at RMC is determined by various factors, including but not limited to location, a candidate's specific combination of education, knowledge, skills, competencies, and experience, as well as contract-specific requirements. The current salary range for this position will be $115,000 to $140,000 (annually or hourly.)”
Requirements
Minimum of 6 years of experience supporting system administration for DoD or Federal Programs
DoD 8570.01M IAT Level II certified with Continuing Education (CE) (GSEC, CompTIA Security+ CE, SCNP, SSCP)
Experience providing Tier III end user desktop support services.
Strong understanding of IT Management and associated cybersecurity principles to include cybersecurity policy, network security, and digital forensics
Strong troubleshooting skills is a must.
