Core Job Summary
The Sr. Manager, Facilities & Operations - Central (H) administers leadership for various projects, programs, and assigned departments. More specifically, the incumbent oversees maintenance mechanics, contractors, and other service personnel to ensure the high-quality conditions of assigned facilities.
Core Responsibilities
Coordinates work orders, preventative maintenance, and renovation projects for assigned areas.
Provides estimates and budgets for project work, maintenance contracts, reimbursable work requests and facility events.
Ensures proper training of staff and prepares performance reports.
Orchestrates activities needed to prepare facilities in the event of a hurricane or other disaster and plays a major role in restoration projects.
Serves as single point of contact for all projects in progress and projects completed in assigned area.
Oversees that proper certifications are obtained for construction and repairs.
Department Specific Functions
The Senior Manager, Facilities & Operations Medical Gas Systems administers leadership for various projects, programs, and assigned departments. More specifically, the incumbent oversees specialty personnel, maintenance mechanics, contractors, and other service personnel to ensure the high-quality conditions of assigned facilities. The Senior Manager, Facilities & Operations Medical Gas Systems is responsible for overseeing the installation, maintenance, and safety of medical gas systems in healthcare facilities. This role requires a deep understanding of medical gas systems, including oxygen, nitrous oxide, medical air, and vacuum systems.
Assures compliance with applicable federal, state and local regulations and safety standards regarding medical gas systems (oxygen, nitrous oxide, medical air, and vacuum systems).
Acts as the responsible facility authority for medical gas systems across the UHealth/MSOM System, to include assessment, approval, coordination, acceptance and management of systems and connections through the associated facilities.
Develops and maintains a UHealth/MSOM medical gas emergency plan.
Manage the installation, testing, inventory, operation and maintenance of all medical gas systems within the UHealth/MSOM facilities.
Ensure all medical gas systems - to include oxygen, nitrous oxide, WAG, medical air, vacuum systems - are being maintained reliability, and are functioning properly and safely for their intended use.
Ensure all medical gas systems comply with applicable federal, state and local regulations.
Ensure all medical gas systems installations and practices align with applicable standards.
Implement safety protocols and conduct regular safety training for staff.
Schedule regular maintenance and inspections of medical gas systems.
Plan, coordinate and communicate repairs as needed and ensure minimal disruption to healthcare services.
Oversee the installation of new medical gas systems. Ensure installations are completed on time, within budget, are tested to validate performance and safety requirements, and are in compliance with safety standards.
Maintain accurate records of all inspections, maintenance, and repairs. Document any issues and actions taken.\
Lead and manage a team of technicians. Provide training and support as needed.

Core Qualifications
Bachelor's Degree in relevant field(Engineering or Healthcare Administration preferred).
Certified Medical Gas Systems Specialist or similar certification is required. Options include: ASSE 6010 medical gas systems installer, ASSE 6020 Medical Gas Systems Inspector, ASSE 6030 Medical Gas Systems Verifier, or ASSE 6040 Medical Gas Systems Maintenance Personnel preferred.
Minimum 7 years of relevant experience, experience managing medical gas systems in a healthcare setting highly preferred.
Knowledge, Skills and Attitudes:
