Performs functions to direct and coordinate the activities and workflow of several production lines with full accountability for results in terms of safety, costs, methods, quality and quantity of production, and personnel.
Primary Responsibilities:
Collaborates and directs various departments and personnel to minimize or eliminate down time
Provides support to operations through creative problem solving, adaptation, and working with all departments to correct problems to maximum plant efficiency
Ensures all products are manufactured in compliance with approved specifications
Suggests and implements process improvements, which will increase safety and quality, while reducing costs
Provides status reports to the Operations Leadership and other senior managers including any safety, personnel, process, or maintenance issues that have occurred
In collaboration with day shift production manager, create processes and systems to have consistency among shifts and operations.
Ensures processes are compliant with company, state, and federal regulatory agencies' policies and requirements
Coordinates, communicates, and follows up on mechanical needs and repairs of maintenance staff necessary on your shift to keep operations running and assist mechanics in completing repairs when required
Contributes to the company's continuous improvement program by providing unsolicited recommendations for improving all areas operations
Has deep knowledge of the process operations at front line levels and provide active involvement with training all personnel.

Supervisory/Management Responsibilities:
Hires, fires, coaches, counsels, and motivates staff
Responsible for supervising and directing employees, including production supervisors, operators, mechanics, technicians, and laborers
Assists with administration of timecards and approval of time off requests
Oversees employee participation and adherence to food safety and employee safety programs and policies
Manages staff by orienting and training employees on company rules, safety, and job functions, including new process workflows and designs
Guides the enforcement of systems, policies, and procedures consistently and fairly
Resolves personnel issues in accordance with company guidelines and policies and participate in union grievance meetings as necessary
Requirements:
Bachelor's degree or equivalent work experience
5 - 7 years of manufacturing experience
3 - 5 years of management or leadership experience
Previous experience with OSHA regulations, USDA preferred
Proficient with computers, specifically Microsoft Office
Knowledge of ERP system functionality preferred
