Job Description:

Beacon Hill Legal is looking for a motivated Litigation Legal Secretary to join a dynamic Houston law firm. This hybrid position offers the flexibility to work remotely 40% of the time, making it an ideal opportunity for a seasoned professional seeking both growth and work-life balance.



Position Overview



As a Litigation Legal Secretary, you will play a vital role in supporting attorneys throughout all stages of litigation. From managing legal documents to coordinating depositions and meetings, your contributions will be crucial to ensuring smooth and efficient case management.



Responsibilities

• Draft and finalize pleadings, discovery documents and the like for filing and service


• Manage and monitor attorneys' calendars; track critical dates such as depositions, hearings, and court filings


• Open new legal matters, perform conflict checks, and draft engagement letters for new clients


• Organize, save, and manage legal documents and emails via the document manage system (iManage)


• Submit and track attorney expense reports and liaise with accounting


• Manage billing for third-party vendors and ensure accurate and timely processing of vendor payments

Qualifications

• Minimum of five (5) years' of experience as a Legal Secretary/Assistant, with expertise in all aspects of litigation from discovery through trial


• Proficient in Microsoft Office Suite, with experience using document management systems such as iManage and eDockets


• Strong understanding of litigation procedures, e-filings, and trial procedures, including familiarity with federal and state court rules; multi-state court filing procedures is a plus


• Abilityto work independently with minimal supervision while managing competing priorities

Salary range is up to $80K annually
