The Lenz lab in the Behavioral Neuroscience area of the Psychology Department, within the College of Arts and Sciences, seeks a Post Doctoral Scholar to join our team.
The Post Doctoral Scholar will perform research on neuroimmune mechanisms of pediatric traumatic brain injury and its effects on brain development, plasticity, and complex social, affective and cognitive behavior in rodent models; in pursuant to research goals, designs and leads experiments, including rodent husbandry, surgery and behavior testing, transcriptomic, biochemical, molecular, and histological assessments; maintains current understanding of relevant literature; contribute to publication of manuscripts for research projects that have been conducted already and require writing and publication, as well as preparing manuscripts based on data the individual generates; apply for appropriate external fellowships or other funding as eligible and assist with grant writing of the PI; work closely with all members of the lab team at OSU Department of Psychology and other OSU collaborators. Position available for one year with possibility of renewal based on satisfactory performance.
Required Education:
Ph.D. in Neuroscience or neuroscience related field
Qualifications:
Required: Experience with neuroscience research in animal models and experience with wet lab techniques.
The pay range for this job profile is $61,008-$61,008. The offer for this position will fall within this range based on internal equity, the unit's available budget, and the candidate's qualifications.
