Job Description:

The Technical Writer, using defined templates, plans, develops, and writes operational process and release documents for product backend technology; these documents are for use both internally and externally to enhance the overall understanding of Equifax applications and processes.

What You'll Do


  • Plans, develops and writes operational, process or release documents for product backend technology by interviewing the client and our internal partners, as well as platform configurations to be used for customer training assets and sessions.
  • Attend training sessions to address technical questions, and present technical aspects of enablement if needed by the Product Training team.
  • Understand complex technology enhancements and bug fixes in order to document for, and present to, clients how these changes may impact how they interact with the application.
  • Uses pre-defined templates to create process, procedure and reference documents.
  • Produces artifacts that conform to the company documentation and QA standards.
  • Provides documentation, and multi-format deliverable, support to internal and external customer audiences.
  • Oversight of processes and procedures related to content lifecycle including knowledge article creation, periodic review, content audit, expiration, versioning and communication, including edit complex procedures for accuracy, suggest revisions and provide feedback.
  • Maintain the repository of assets for your product line. This includes adhering to established content management processes being followed.

Qualifications

  • Bachelor's/ Master's Degree in English Literature, Communications, Technical Writing or equivalent experience of 5+ years in a related field.
  • 2+ years of experience writing, editing and planning software documentation.
