Pay: $23.85 - $33.20 (based on experience) plus $2.50 for attendance
The electrician is in charge of the design, testing, implementation, and controls of all new and existing electrical systems in the plant, water treatment area, and all external buildings; overseeing all electrical changes that take place on site and direct the maintenance associates involved.
Hours: 1st Shift
ESSENTIAL DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIES:
Design and implement all electrical systems for new installations
Maintain all motor control centers ensuring that they are up to code in all areas
Maintain camera system
Design, implement, maintain, and upgrade all PLC systems and develop automation plan
Install conduit and run wire for all new and old work in accordance with NEC
Plan all lighting changes and follow through to completion
Ensure that all external electrical lighting and outlets are operational
Inspect grounding system for the plant on an annual basis
Work within safety guidelines at all times
QUALIFICATIONS:
Licensed Journeyman Electrician preferred
Excellent attention to detail
Willing to work overtime as required
Excellent time management skills
Self-starter with innovative ideas and excellent follow through
Proven leadership ability
Able to learn new processes with minimal supervision
Ability to use hand tools and trades type tools
Strong mechanical background required.
Requirements:
Must have a minimum of 1-year of Facility Maintenance and/or Automotive Mechanic experience documented in the work history section of the application or a graduate of an industrial maintenance training program. (Can be a combination of education and employment as long as experience is at least 1 year).
Education and/or Experience:
Licensed Journeyman electrician with 3 years industrial experience preferred
Electrical Engineering degree can be used in place of experience requirement
Trained in programming and troubleshooting PLCs
Trained in Maintenance CMMS and Autocad
Competent computer skills with working knowledge of Word, Excel, Power Point and Projects
Communication Skills:
Must be able to communicate effectively.
Physical Requirements / Environment:
Stand/Walk: Continuously throughout shift
Lift/Carry: Frequently (1-10 lbs), Occasionally as required with assistance (up to 35-50 lbs.)
Environment: working around moving machinery, in areas with marked changes in temperature and humidity, exposure to dust and fumes, occasionally working at unprotected heights, around and amongst dead birds and a strong chicken odor, some tight or confined space areas
Rehiring Criteria: Applicant must not have worked for Tyson more than a total of 3 times prior. Applicants must also have completed at least 90 days since their last employment with Tyson.
