We seek colleagues who champion an inclusive, diverse, and transformative university and who are excited to join our energetic and collegial program. Lecturers responsibilities will include designing and leading first-year Academic Inquiry Seminars and consulting with the campus community via the Writing Resource Center. Responsibilities may also include designing and leading other writing-intensive seminars, creative writing workshops, professional/technical or scientific communication courses, and/or other undergraduate courses. Opportunities for writing program administrative and assessment activities are also available and are compensated.

Responsibilities & Duties: Teaching load is the equivalent of six courses over the academic year (does not include summer), which may include a mix of classroom teaching, Writing Resource Center consulting and programming, and other activities. Initial appointment is for one academic year, beginning August 2025; this position is eligible for annual reappointment.
How to Apply: Application materials should be submitted electronically by January 15, 2025 at https://apply.interfolio.com/159422. For initial consideration, please submit the following materials:

CWRU and the Writing Program value activities that support diversity and inclusion; we invite applicants to describe such activities in their cover letters and other application materials. When candidates are selected for interviews, they will be asked to provide 2 confidential letters of recommendation and to prepare to speak in detail about courses that they might teach at CWRU.
