Transaction Advisory Group (TAG)
A&M's Transaction Advisory Group (TAG) provides comprehensive due diligence services to private equity firms and corporate clients. Our ESG, EHS, and Technical Transaction Due Diligence Practice focuses on delivering in-depth assessments of target companies' environmental, social, governance, and technical aspects. We combine technical expertise with commercial insights to help clients make informed investment decisions.
What will you be doing?
As a Manager in our ESG, EHS, and Technical Transaction Due Diligence Practice, you will be critical in helping our clients assess and manage risks associated with potential investments and transactions. You will leverage your technical expertise to perform comprehensive due diligence assessments, support commercial analysis, and provide actionable insights that inform investment decisions.
Responsibilities Include:
Transaction and Commercial Due Diligence Engagements:
Conduct multi-site, global due diligence projects, including operational, technical, ESG, and EHS assessments for mergers, acquisitions, divestitures, and strategic partnerships.
Assess target companies' operational capabilities, technical processes, regulatory compliance, and ESG performance to identify key risks and opportunities.
Develop comprehensive due diligence reports that synthesize findings and provide clear recommendations aligned with clients' investment strategies.
Technical and Operational Assessments:
Conduct on-site inspections and evaluations of assets across various industries, including manufacturing, energy, industrial, and infrastructure sectors.
Evaluate equipment condition, operational efficiency, maintenance practices, and environmental and safety regulations compliance.
Identify potential deal breakers, synergies, and areas for operational improvement or value creation.
Client Relationship Management:
Serve as the primary point of contact for clients on day-to-day execution matters.
Communicate technical findings effectively to clients, senior executives, and other transaction stakeholders.
Build and maintain strong client relationships, anticipating client needs, and identifying opportunities to expand A&M's services.
Project Management and Team Leadership:
Manage and prioritize team responsibilities, ensuring timely delivery of high-quality work products.
Mentor and develop junior team members, providing guidance on technical matters and professional growth.
Coordinate with cross-functional teams, including financial, commercial, and legal advisors, to ensure a cohesive approach to due diligence.
Business Development Support:
Assist in developing proposals, pitch materials, and other business development initiatives.
Stay abreast of industry trends, regulatory changes, and emerging risks to inform practice development and thought leadership.

Qualifications:
Education:
Bachelor's degree in Engineering (e.g., Mechanical, Environmental, Chemical, Civil ) or Environmental Science, or a related technical field
Advanced degrees (MBA, MS) are a plus
Experience:
Minimum of 5-8 years of experience in EHS, ESG, operational risk analysis, engineering, industrial operations, or technical consulting
At least 3 years of experience in transaction advisory, M&A due diligence, or commercial due diligence.
Experience in leading multi-disciplinary teams and managing complex projects.
Technical Skills:
Strong understanding of environmental regulations and compliance frameworks (e.g., CAA, CWA, RCRA, OSHA).
Proficiency in ESG reporting frameworks and standards.
High proficiency in Microsoft Office Suite (Excel, PowerPoint); experience with data analysis and visualization tools (e.g., PowerBI) is a plus.

Other Requirements:
Willingness to travel up to 50% of the time, including overnight and out-of-state travel.
