Job Description:

Five or more years of Human Resource generalist experience. Demonstrated effectiveness in written and verbal communication, Proficiency in Microsoft Office applications and Human Resources Information Systems (HRIS), Knowledge of compensation strategy, performance management, employee relations, safety practices and talent acquisition.  Ability to apply this information in a manner that is compliant with relevant employment law, Experience creating a culture of engagement, collaboration, and teamwork. Builds strong partnerships with Business Leaders to coach and guide in their development and business decisions. Ideal candidate will bring interest and expertise advising the company on recruitment practices in support of Nortech growth.


Preferred Education, Certificates and Licenses:  Bachelor's degree (B. A.) from four-year college or university (or equivalent combination of education and experience)


Core Responsibilities:



  • Partner with business leaders to recommend People Operations strategies that align with organizational goals for assigned site location.

  • Develop and implement People Operations solutions that improve performance of people to achieve Nortech's organizational goals and objectives.

  • First responder for local employee relations issues.

  • Provide guidance to business leaders on succession planning, talent retention, employee engagement, and organizational growth.

  • Lead cross Nortech projects to advance HR process design and HR systems effectiveness.

  • Ensure policies and procedures are deployed and followed.

  • Administer wage competitive analysis and consult leadership on recommendations.

  • Ensure training and onboarding programs advance quality outcomes for our customers.

  • Oversee investigations of worker's compensation, harassment, safety, discrimination etc.

  • Ensure compliance with labor laws and regulations.

  • Partner with business leaders to cultivate a culture of engagement, skills development, and accountability for assigned facility.

  • Support the utilization of incentive and reward programs.

  • Model and reinforce the values and high integrity of the company with all leaders and employees.

  • Be a role model in professional business behavior, integrity, and work ethic.
