JOB SUMMARY:

Performs managerial duties for the Clemson University Learning Institute Headquarters and Education Center located in Pickens, South Carolina. Must ensure the quality of materials, building practices, planning for expansion and facility management exceed the minimum standards.

JOB DUTIES:

60% - Essential - Facility Maintenance: Maintenance, upkeep and repair of facilities (buildings, equipment and grounds). Determine best methods the equipment needed and develop budgets that allow the facility to be maintained in a manner necessary to accommodate various user groups of both adults and children. Schedule assignments and prioritize tasks. Assist in maintaining cleanliness of facility. Oversee and maintain grounds, mowing, weed control, equipment, lawn and grounds.

25% - Essential - Improvements:
Oversee and assist in the improvements to buildings and grounds at CULI. Determine necessary materials and equipment to implement improvements. Work closely with the CULI Improvement Team to carry out plans for improvements to the site. Monitor work performed and evaluate quality of work, and compliance with regulatory standards.

10% - Essential - Motorpool:
Oversee and assist in the maintenance of Pickens/Hannon motor pool. Maintain records concerning vehicle maintenance and mileage. Perform appropriate maintenance and inspections of vehicles. Maintain cleanliness of vehicles (inside and out).

5% - Essential - Other Duties: Attend meetings, residential and team.

MINIMUM REQUIREMENTS:

Education - High School or Equivalent - and custodial, groundskeeping or maintenance experience directly related to the area of employment
Work Exp 2+ years
