Job Description:

The Youth Rehabilitation and Treatment Centers (YRTC) work with youth involved in the juvenile court system, aged 14-18 years, addressing mental health, substance abuse and behavioral issues through evidence based programming and clinical interventions.

A Master Level Intern will provide individual, family, and group therapy consistent with individual youth needs. A Master Level Intern will complete assessments and collaborate with a multidisciplinary treatment team in planning and evaluating the effectiveness of patient treatment. This will include assisting in developing Treatment Plans. Treatment approaches and content may be enhanced or adjusted based on individual and population needs.


A Master Level Intern also shares clinical observations with the treatment team. Duties also include compiling individual, family, and group therapy progress notes and documenting according to YRTC/DHHS policies and procedures. Working with families and the youth's support system may also be part of the internship experience.


A Master Level Intern participates in team and clinical meetings to address program concerns and needs. Attending and participating in program planning committees, in-service trainings, and department meetings is also expected.



Requirements / Qualifications:



Minimum Qualifications: Must be at least 21 years of age and possess a high school diploma or equivalent education.
