We are seeking an undergraduate sophomore or junior student, working towards a degree in mechanical engineering, biomedical engineering, or related field for a 12-week Student Intern role in Durham, NC for a May 19th - August 8th contract period.
Position Duties:
Complete Device Investigations for both Metered Dose Inhalers (MDIs) and Dry Powder Inhalers (DPI) as part of the clinical complaints process to investigate potential root cause(s) for reported complaints.
Coordinate integration of Design History File(s) into requirement management tool JAMA to enhance design controls platform.
Author change controls and modify specifications related to MDI design changes for ongoing development programs.
Collaborate with team members and participate in meetings.
Present project findings at the end of the internship.
Position Requirements:
An undergraduate sophomore or junior student, working towards a degree in mechanical engineering, biomedical engineering, or related field. * Candidates must have an expected graduation date after August 2025.
Experience in a mechanical or biomedical engineering laboratory setting is preferred.
Experience with design controls for medical devices per 21 CFR 820.30 is a plus.
Enthusiasm for collaboration, cross-functional projects, public speaking, and presentation design.
Applicants must have work authorization that does not now or in the future require sponsorship of a visa.
Ability to report onsite to Durham, NC five days a week. This role will not provide relocation assistance.
Minimum grade point average of 3.0
