Job Title:Program Manager, Faculty AffairsDepartment:Medicine | IM Medical Oncology

The Program Manager, Faculty Affairs, for the Division of Medical Oncology provides essential administrative support and coordination for faculty affairs activities within the Division of Medicine in the Department of Internal Medicine. This position works closely with division leadership to implement faculty recruitment plans, collaborating with the OSUWMC Faculty Recruitment team and relevant search committees to recruit both clinical and research faculty. The Program Manager ensures a seamless recruitment process, coordinates faculty visits, and supports a range of administrative tasks related to recruitment, credentialing, onboarding, and faculty relations.

Additional Information:

The Program Manager, Faculty Affairs will work closely with division leadership to implement faculty recruitment plans, collaborating with the OSUWMC Faculty Recruitment team and search committees to recruit clinical and research faculty. This includes coordinating and organizing recruitment activities such as candidate visits, interviews, and itineraries, while ensuring compliance with Office of Academic Affairs and College of Medicine policies and procedures. The role also involves gathering and preparing historical information about the department and division for candidates, assisting with relocation and providing support for candidates and their families. Additionally, the Program Manager will coordinate spousal recruiting activities with relevant OSU colleges, departments, or divisions, and facilitate the transition of successful hires from recruitment to onboarding, ensuring a smooth integration into the division. The position will also involve determining effective advertising mediums for faculty recruitment and placing advertisements to attract qualified candidates. In terms of administrative duties, the Program Manager will independently compose responses to routine correspondence, research and summarize data to support decision-making and strategic planning, and disseminate information from the divisional office as necessary. The role also includes assisting with the development and implementation of divisional administrative and operational policies and procedures and completing special projects as assigned.
